Objectives


Objective: My objective for this interview is to learn more about my classmates. I don't only want to learn about them as a person I also want to learn about their country and their traditions. I will do this by asking various questions and listening to their answers. After the interview I will transcribe and review what was said.

  1. Write up a interview objectives list (what do you want your interview to achieve)
  2. Speak to students
  3. Explain what I need to do with their help
  4. Ask several students from the same cultural background
  5. Make an appointment
  6. Do the country report on your interviewees.
  7. Get a recorder and fresh batteries and a tape
  8. Finalize my interview objectives so that I know what I am doing
  9. Decide on core questions so that I know what to ask
  10. Reserve a meeting room in MC, dorm, Atwood
  11. Add any questions that you want to ask.
  12. Go back over questions and print them off. (multiple copies)
  13. Test the tape recorder and make sure you know how it works.
  14. Show up to the interview early and make sure the room is ready and you can greet the interviewee.
  15. Hand the interviewee the questions.
  16. Ask them to look over the questions and if they are uncomfortable with any.
  17. Do the interview
  18. Transcribe the interview
  19. Fix any errors in the transcript or country report.
  20. Post on blog
